The Wolumla Gold Project is located within the Eden district and hosts a significant historical precious metals mining record. Between 1896 and 1939, approximately 23,600 ounces of gold and approximately 3,600 ounces of silver were extracted from the Wolumla district, demonstrating both the gold and silver potential of the region.
In 1982, Gold Fields Exploration completed a 6-hole diamond drilling program at Wolumla, with all holes intersecting mineralisation. This systematic exploration provides a strong foundation for future work. Key drilling results include:
These results demonstrate continuous mineralisation at shallow depths, indicating the potential for near-surface gold and silver resources. However, the project has not been subject to comprehensive modern exploration, with significant upside potential for deeper extensions and parallel structures.
The Wolumla Gold Project will be evaluated as part of Super Minerals’ broader portfolio strategy, with potential for ground geochemistry, mapping and target evaluation. The historical drilling foundation and demonstrated mineralisation provide a clear pathway for future exploration activity and resource definition.
